Welcome to the RRB Games Staff page. Want to know who we are, what we like to do or just want to see what we look like? Well this is your best shot, so feel free to read on below.

Mario “Wolf96″ Marquez

Chief Executive Officer

Life is funny. We started this project in February of 2005 and since then it’s been a test in determination, patience and character. What I’ve learned is that I may just be the luckiest man on the face of this earth. Even with everything that has gone on behind the scenes I’ve had the support of some of the greatest people and it’s them who have made this such an incredible experience. This site is an absolute dream come true and I owe it all in thanks to the men and women that have meant so much to this project that it is finally a reality. They say the true measure of a person is by the company they keep, while I’ve never thought myself to be great, to quantify it in these terms I’d be of the gods. Over anything these people mean the most to me and I’m honored that along with them we have the opportunity to share our site with you.

Michael “CnB” Robinson

Human Resources

I’m Michael Robinson aka CnB, out of the group I’m probably the least gamer inclined.  I have a short attention span so unless a game really catches my attention I lose interest…ooo something shiny…

Where was I? Oh right introduction! So growing up unless it was books or school work my parents didn’t want it in my hands. My first “system” was the Game Boy. I played it to death and I think I still have it around here somewhere. Pretty much every system I’ve had after that I’ve gotten late because I’ve had to purchase them myself. (Except for my Sega Genesis and Game Boy). I’m pretty much willing to play most genres, if I had to pick one I’d say RPG’s and Shooter’s… Don’t correct me I know that was two. :P

Other than that I’m a huge Star Wars fan. I’ve been with the company since 2005 and I’ve known Mario since the 4th grade, Jeff and Jason since the 10th grade. We used to hang out and play video games then one day we decided to start this company. Now, five years and 3 awesome employee’s later here we are. I hope you enjoy this site and what we have to offer in the future.

Jason Clark

Chief Technology Officer

Anything that is visual in this company is my job.  My duties range from printed work to everything on the website.  I graduated with a degree in traditional illustration from the Academy of Art University, while working in companies that specialized in web development, graphic design, and audio/video production.

When not working, my days revolve around watching 80s cartoons, reading comics, listening to music, lifting weights, and playing RPGs.  I also enjoy 2D platformers, racing, fighting, music, and puzzle games.

As a managing partner, I’ve been with this crew since the beginning.  Many have come and go and many things have been learned.  This whole site is a monster of a task, but we all keep chipping away at it.  Keep checking it out to see what improvements we make as it becomes closer to our ideal goals.

My name is Jeffery aka CAPPTAN… I’ve been playing games since I was birthed into this world. I am, kind of, the most competitive player when it comes to the staff…Typically you won’t see many of my reviews up because I am a terrible writer…I am, as you would say, the HNIC of Marketing. My top games as of right now are Star Craft 2, World of Warcraft, COD Black Ops, and any other games that I can play for a few and finish…SO with that being said feel free to add me on XBL: CAPPTAN you can find me on SC2 as CAPPTAN and feed free to add me on STEAM for any of my misc. games under CaptAnimal!

Ron “Calin75″ Aquino

Senior Editor

I’m Ron Aquino (aka calin75) and like many, the wood-grain finished Atari 2600 “Video Computer System” was my first console. If I knew then how video games would look like now I think my little six year old brain would have exploded. Several systems later my brain is forgetful but still intact as far as I know. It’s a good thing because, uh…

I can play any type of game, but I’m drawn mostly to shooters, RPG’s, and fighters. Here’s a sampling of some of my favorite games of all time: Super Mario Bros. 3, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Super Castlevania 4, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!!, Metal Gear Solid, Starlancer, Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron 2, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, Final Fantasies 6 and 10, Soul Calibur 4, Street Fighter 2: Turbo Hyper Fighting and Street Fighter Alpha 3. I’m sure this list will expand as time goes by.

Well that’s it. I hope you can all help RRB Games become the internet’s #1 non porn site. But if porn helps I’m not above having it on here. Just kidding, management! Or am I?

I think I was born with a controller in my hands.  Gotta be it.  How else can I explain why I can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t play video games.  So yeah, I’ve been a gamer for over two decades now.  For me, it’s a hobby, a passion, an obsession, and a vice all wrapped into one.  As long as the wind’s blowing in the right direction, I’ll be a gamer for at least another two decades.

My personal favorite genres are RPGs (namely Japanesse ones), Action, Platformer, FPS, some Puzzle games, and old school Point and Click Adventures.  That last genre doesn’t really exist anymore, but hey, one can hope.  I want to say that I’m enamoured with every aspect of gaming, but unfortunately some things are just completely out of my realm of understanding.  Sports games and racing games are at the very top of that list.  I’ve tried to pick them up so many times in my life, but it just never sticks.

As for individual games that’s stuck out in my mind, I’d have to go in no particular order with Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 4, Super Metroid, Call of Duty 2 and 4, Devil May Cry 1, Gears of War, Ninja Gaiden, Picross, Twilight Princess, and Bioshock.  The list is far longer than this, but this is the best I can come up with for now.  Maybe one day I’ll compile a comprehensive list of every single game that I like.  That’s gonna be one hell of a list.

I suppose I should talk about me like my age and stuff, but not too much of it really matters if you ask me.  Just know this.  See that picture!  I’m a guy!  It’s with a ‘K’ and an ‘I’!  Not a ‘C’ and a ‘Y’!  That’s really all you need to know about me.  See you in the Reviews section!

For me, at first, gaming wasn’t about having fun. It was about supremacy. When I was growing up I had an older sister and we did everything together. However she’d pretty much win at everything since she was six years older then I was. Then one day came when a family friend brought over a Super Nintendo that he didn’t want and with a few rounds of Super Mario World my sister was bested and I was hooked.

Then somewhere around sixth or seventh grade I found a real love for writing. Be it journalistic, fiction, nonfiction, anything that allowed me to manipulate and create something of my own design and put it on paper. For me it could be calming, therapeutic, artistic, and anything else I wanted to turn it into.

Although these days I tend to stay away from Nintendo I still consider myself a very hardcore gamer. I do play console games but my bread and butter is PC gaming. I like the fact that I can tweak my system and not be constrained by the manufacturers boundaries, although as we push further and further into the next generation of gaming that seems to be changing. Tactical shooters, real time strategies, shooters, an MMO here or there, and I can’t go wrong(I want to give a shout out to all the LOAFL members that followed me over, thanks guys). Some of my favorites include the Battlefield series, Age of Empires, Supreme Commander, Call of Duty, Guild Wars, Unreal Tournament, and Age of Conan.

I think its every gamer’s dream to play video games and in some way shape or form get paid for it. Can you even think of any better career? And if you can it probably doesn’t exist. I’m constantly humbled and honored by being given a chance to work with other such talented individuals towards such an awesome achievement. Its an exciting time and the only movement I see from here is forward.

Note – I know I’m not smiling in this picture but all the smiley pictures have a katana in the background.
