Nintendo is being sued for alleged patent infringement for the glasses-free stereoscopic 3D technology used in the 3DS. The company bringing the lawsuit is Tomita Technologies, founded by inventor Seijiro Tomita. He worked for Sony for 30 years before founding the company.
Early reports of Nintendo’s upcoming console, the Wii U, pegged it as on par with the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Given the fact that the third party game footage at Nintendo’s E3 press conference used Xbox 360 and PS3 assets, it all but confirmed those assumptions. It turns out that we may be underestimating the system.
