The Super Nintendo 20th Anniversary Super Celebration

It was 1991 on a Sunday and I was in some kind of retail store…it could have been Target or Sears, I forget. But I do remember vividly when I first saw it: a Super Mario game in vibrant 16-bit visuals. It wasn’t the first time I’ve witnessed the new technology. Both the Turbo Grafx-16 and the Sega Genesis have already come out, but since I was solidly a Nintendo fanboy, the Super Nintendo is what I’ve been waiting for.

Mmm…Play Them We Will: Super Star Wars Trilogy on Virtual Console

Super Star Wars, Super Empire Strikes Back, and Super Return of the Jedi…these were some of the best and toughest platformer/shooters for the Super Nintendo. If you enjoy shouting expletives to the point of an aneurysm while fighting Emperor Palpatine, these games will be available on the Virtual Console for 800 Wii Points each.
