I’m starting to like these “slow weeks.” Not much is coming out, but there is something to look forward to. Unlike Q1s of the yesteryear where it literally is a wasteland of games you really don’t care about, these weeks have been pretty interesting. I hope you appreciate just how unique this year has started. I hope this will be the trend for the years to come.
The very first Silent Hill was the most frightening video game I’ve ever played, and it stands as one of the scariest forms of entertainment that I’ve ever experienced. It didn’t shock you with jump-out-of-your-seat moments; instead it pulled you into its fog choked streets into a twisted, yet artful, psychological nightmare. When Konami announced this “reimagining” of the original Silent Hill, I was excited and eager to once again enter into its bone chilling embrace.
Fortunately, December isn’t going to be as dead as I thought. We’ve got three games over in the Releases to Watch section. Ratio wise, about 1 out of every 4 games coming out this week is actually worth giving a damn about. Of course if you do the math, you’ll realize that only eleven games are coming out this week. Nevertheless, 1 out of every 4 releases! Woohoo!
