Back when arcades were still a thing, I loved playing side-scrolling beat ‘em ups. Whether they be Final Fight, X-Men, TMNT, the Simpsons…button mashing the snot out of nameless drones was a fun diversion. Two of Sega’s side-scrolling gems: Streets of Rage and Golden Axe will be coming to XBLA.
The title of the article from MCV is a little misleading. They wrote it as Kinect gets its first “adult” title and my filthy little mind immediately thought of some sort of Kinect porno. Fortunately (unfortunately?), the “adult” rating merely signifies the standard graphic violence of Sega’s Rise of Nightmares.
Oh to be at the Game Developers Conference just across the bay in San Francisco, where Yu Suzuki dropped a mega-ton sentence I thought I would never hear uttered. “Probably Sega will let me make it. I think. It’s simply a problem of budget.”He was of course talking about the long abandoned game Shenmue III.
Sega will release a compilation of four of its Dreamcast titles for the Xbox 360, the PC, and as a PC digital download on February 22. Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Sega Bass Fishing, and Space Channel 5: Part 2 are the four games that complete the package.
The “arcadiest” of driving games, Crazy Taxi, is now downloadable for the PlayStation Network and will be available on Xbox Live Arcade November 24th. It gets the full on digital re-mastering with Surround Sound and 720p graphics. It will cost 800 Microsoft Points or about $10.00.
Nine years after the release of Shenmue II, Sega announced the third entry into the series: Shenmue City, according to Edge. But fans of the first two games will not be seeing it on any consoles though, it is only going to be released on Yahoo! Mobage PC- a social game platform in Japan.
Eich! Mein jawbone!
Just when you thought WWII games were on sabbatical, think again. Of course Captain America: Super Soldier is not your typical WWII game. Captain America was specifically created to battle Nazis, and Super Soldier is a third-person adventure in which he gets to face his archenemy, Red Skull.
