Street Fighter X Tekken Review

If any game company knows how to do stellar fighting game crossovers, it’s Capcom. One needs only to look at crossovers like Marvel vs. Capcom, and the lesser known Tatsunoko vs. Capcom to name a few. With Street Fighter X Tekken ( “X” is pronounced “cross”), Capcom (with Namco’s licensing) has induced a collective fan-gasm for fighting game enthusiasts.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Introduces New Character

Lucha Libre seem to be all the rage in fighting games these days. Where most wrestlers in these games are slow and powerful, the masked luchador is acrobatic, flashy and graceful. There’s Virtua Fighter 5′s El Blaze and Street Fighter IV‘s El Fuerte, for example. King is Tekken’s resident luchador, but Namco felt the need to introduce another one.

A Really EARLY Look at Tekken x Street Fighter

New Street Fighter x Tekken Screenshots

These new Street Fighter x Tekken screenshots from PS3 Attitude (via N4G) look a little rough but shows Chun-Li beating the tar out of Nina Williams, along with Ryu similarly embarrassing Kazuya. Needless to say the Capcom bias is apparent. This game does use the Street Fighter game mechanic after all. I’m sure that for Tekken x Street Fighter screenshots the reverse will be true.

Street Fighter X Tekken!!?

This year’s Comic-Con was definitely the place to be. A panel called “Street Fighter IV and Beyond” with SFIV producer Yoshinori Ono was interrupted by Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada on Saturday. Thankfully the two rival producers didn’t get into a brawl, but instead announced their most exciting collaboration: Street fighter x Tekken, reports Kotaku.
