Now this is more like it! Although Madden normally signals the start of the Fall schedule triple-A madness, it certainly doesn’t feel like it given what we’ve had the last two weeks. This week, that changes.
Madden’s day in the spotlight went by over a month ago. Now soccer takes their turn to be in the spotlight with not one major franchise’s annual release but two. Not that all that many people around here even pay attention to such releases, but still, give the poor scrappy sport a break. I hear it’s big over in, like, everywhere but here.
In the wake of yesterday’s announcement that EA would officially be acquiring Popcap, EA has announced that it will be cutting online gaming service to over one hundred of their titles. However EA assures the public that these games make up less than 1% of EA’s total online traffic and are thus not worth the cost of maintaining the servers they run on.
