Marvel vs. Capcom 3 New Character Announcement

Notice a trend here? Yeah, I’m reporting on Capcom crossovers and it has announced two additions to its craziest, flashiest property yet: Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. Get ready for some screen filling, 40 hit combos. This is what I love about 2D fighters, they can really let loose with the overkill. Has it really been a decade since MvC 2?

A Really EARLY Look at Tekken x Street Fighter

When Street Fighter x Tekken was announced I was completely floored. Not to be outdone, Namco has its own crossover version, Tekken x Street Fighter. Fighting game fans received a sneak peak of the latter at this year’s Gamescom, reports Kotaku.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Full Tracklist Get

Activision has released the full tracklist for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. Being the kind of non-music guy that I am, I honestly can’t tell what’s good and what’s not. I bet you are though. Take a look for yourself.

Metroid: Other M- New Screenshots

In about two weeks the game I’ve been most excited about since E3 2009 will be here: Metroid: Other M. A collaboration between Nintendo and Team Ninja, Metroid: Other M blends third person action and exploration with a detailed first person perspective. All it takes is simple switch of the Wii Remote from sideways to pointing and vice versa to change the views.

Coming Soon! 8/16/2010

One thing I forgot to mention last week is that Madden is also usually the signal for the rush of new, triple A video games to start appearing on store shelves and eventually to the madness that is November. Although this week’s “big” game is debatable, it’s a hell of a whole lot better compare to what we’ve been getting in the weeks previous to Madden. Looks like my Sunday nights are going to be sleepless once again.

Catwoman to Play Central Role in Batman Sequel

IGN reports that Selina Kyle a.k.a. Catwoman will play a major role in the upcoming Batman: Arkham City. Sometimes she’s Batman’s adversary, other times she’s his ally and love interest. Always morally ambiguous, Catwoman will add a lot of intrigue as well as sexual tension to the story.

New Street Fighter x Tekken Screenshots

These new Street Fighter x Tekken screenshots from PS3 Attitude (via N4G) look a little rough but shows Chun-Li beating the tar out of Nina Williams, along with Ryu similarly embarrassing Kazuya. Needless to say the Capcom bias is apparent. This game does use the Street Fighter game mechanic after all. I’m sure that for Tekken x Street Fighter screenshots the reverse will be true.
