The Beatles Rock Band, a Letdown?

In an interview with MCV (via Edge) MTV Games general manager Scott Guthrie admits he was not happy with the sales of The Beatles: Rock Band in Europe, released during last years critical holiday season. Guthrie goes on to blame “a tough economy” and “a lot of competitive products” for the disappointing sales figures.  ”We underestimated the competition,” said Guthrie.

Starcraft 2 Will be Censored in Korea

For a brief moment, it seemed that Starcraft 2 was going to come out in Korea with an Adults Only rating, but today FOMOS, a Korean e-sports website, reports (via 1UP) that Blizzard will release a censored version of Starcraft 2 for Korea which has been granted an Age 12 rating.  The report was translated by a Team Liquid forum member gngfn.  ”Since Starcraft 2 was originally developed to be a game adolescents could enjoy, we’re very pleased with the Game Rating Board’s decision,” stated Blizzard via the translation.

Dragon Age Origins: The Darkspawn Chronicles DLC

Time for yet another return to the land of Ferelden today as Bioware released a new downloadable quest that  lets you play as a bloodthirsty darkspawn general. Set in an alternate universe in which your Warden character never survived the Joining Ritual, your poor friend Alistair is the last remaining Grey Warden and is tasked with defeating the Blight. Needless to say it ends in disaster for the good guys. And yes, I am playing it.
