Some of the hardest games to review are the ones that doesn’t do anything spectacular but also doesn’t fail miserably at anything either. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin falls squarely into that mold. As far as first-person shooters go, Project Origin doesn’t break any new grounds or amaze you with incredible experiences, but the good news is it also doesn’t screw up any of the fundamentals that makes a good FPS. The first one, something along the line of destroying a target with more than is required, is what most people thinks of when they see the title of Overkill at first.
