As the sequel to cutesy life simulator MySims, you once again create a cherubic avatar to interact with the other inhabitants and basically become their general contractor. Imagine an RPG where there is nothing but the “town” portion and you have MySims Kingdom in a nutshell.

Fable II is the highly anticipated sequel to Fable, which was originally released on Xbox. The story is set 500 years after the first game and heroes are all but extinct. You can go through the story in this game fairly quickly but then you would be missing out on so much more. Read more
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia

The Castlevania series took a slight misstep with the last iteration, Portrait of Ruin. It was short, a bit too cartoony, and a little bit easy. Fortunately, the newest iteration in the Castlevania series, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, will fix that.
Contra 4

Contra 4 is a solid 2D platforming shooter much like all of its predecessor. Though the graphics harken back to the 2D platformers of the Super NES era, and farther back, the gameplay is really what counts. The simple mechanics of jumping and shooting have so much depth in them that the entire game feels fresh through out. It also helps when the game diversify what it is that you actually do from level to level as well. Read more
Wii Music

If you give a guy a guitar for the first time in his life, everything he plays on it will sound like a cacophonous mess. It’s unavoidable. It takes weeks of practice before anything good actually comes out of it. Wii Music, being a little bit too true-to-life, is the same way. Read more
Dead Space

Mix the Movie “Event Horizon”, Resident Evil style gameplay, and an Eli Roth like hatred for limbs and your finally outcome would be something close to Dead space… yes this game is that awesome. Read more
Grand Theft Auto IV Review

Grand Theft Auto as a franchise is continuously getting better and always setting the bar higher for opened end games and the industry as a whole. The team behind the games should be celebrated for their forward thinking and willingness to push the envelope in order to give us gamers the best game possible. GTA IV may be the pinnacle of their success, but for our sake as game enthusiast let’s hope not, as we still have yet to achieve a truly open ended gaming world and my bet would be on the Rockstar team to take us there. The game may not be perfect, and to many may be ethically objectionable, but taken for what it is worth GTA IV is a landmark game, a masterpiece in giving a digital world a genuine life like feel.

A point and click adventure? Have I stumbled into a time warp to 1993? With the decline in popularity in this genre it is nice to see that it has carved out a niche online and now ported over to the Wii. It is well suited to the console, with the Wii Remote effectively standing in for the standard mouse. Read more
