Mario Super Sluggers

A beacon of light glimmers in the distance, it’s your sign, it’s your calling. There’s a talkative crowd in the distance, they’re waiting on you. The field is prepped, the seats are full, enter the coliseum, bat over the shoulder, glove wrapped around it, a wad of big league chew pressed in-between jaw and cheek. Its show time under near the gleam of the lights, you against your rival and this game’s for keeps. Read more

Madden 2009

Annually since 2003 Madden has been a huge part of my gaming cycle and for me the series hit its heights with the 2005 version. That game managed to balance the offensive and defensive playmaking abilities with the right analog stick (Playmaker and Hit Stick) and introduced the most intriguing and time absorbing franchise mode ever (Owner Mode). Since the peak it feels like the Madden franchise has fallen off, and drastically, especially since its introduction into the next-generation of home consoles. Read more
