Excel is fun! No, I’m serious. It really is as long as you fill it with something you care about like your favorite team’s stats, how often black comes up, or, I don’t know, stamp statistics. Fill it with video game stats, and you can get a picture of the video game industry as a whole. I did it the past two years already thanks to my insane hobby of writing about game releases weekly, and this time my methods have become far more sophisticated. By that I mean I used Excel instead of an abacus.

PlayStation Trophy Level Cap Lifted
A few months ago it was widely reported that a Sony PlayStation user had reached the PlayStation’s trophy level cap of Level 50 (1%). It seems that is no longer the case.
PlayStation Vita Official Release Date
Sony has officially unveiled the long anticiapated North American release date for their forthcoming PlayStation Vita, the successor to the PlayStation Portable. Full details after the jump.

How does one compete with the ultimate superhero video game ever? Well, the general consensus looks to be to drown the damn thing with so many titles coming from almost every genre under the sun, it’ll make your head spin. Thankfully, I have a neck brace handy.

Madden’s day in the spotlight went by over a month ago. Now soccer takes their turn to be in the spotlight with not one major franchise’s annual release but two. Not that all that many people around here even pay attention to such releases, but still, give the poor scrappy sport a break. I hear it’s big over in, like, everywhere but here.

Last week’s release of Deus Ex, in addition to being one hell of a way to start the pre-holiday video game season, jump started the video game releases as the numbers slowly climbs up above… well, three per week. Oddly enough, The DS releases take charge this week with five games coming out of the gate. If this is Nintendo’s idea of counterprogramming against Deus Ex, somebody in Nintendo’s needs to be fired.
