There are a thousands of reasons for nerds to get excited about Comic-Con. If it has anything to do with costumed superheroes, elf ears, sci-fi celebrities (like the ever-present Peter “Chewbacca” Mayhew), and scantily clad women dressed up as your favorite scantily clad characters, it’s just the place to be. So now there’s two additional reasons to check out the Comic-Con in San Diego: Nintendo will show off a couple of highly anticipated games.
No, I didn’t somehow miraculously make it to E3. That doesn’t mean I still won’t report on important gaming news. Nintendo unveiled its new 3DS, a handheld with real 3D graphics without the need for 3D glasses. Among the featured games are Nintendogs+Cats, Resident Evil Revelations, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D, and…Kid Icarus: Uprising. Check the trailer here, listen to the music, and prepare for childlike joy to return to your jaded, callous hearts.
E3 2010 kicks off tomorrow. However, due to a scheduling conflict I will not be able to attend this year’s event. As a quick preview here is the current list of games that have been confirmed to be present at E3 2010. I can’t wait to read what the RRB staff have to say about any of these.
With E3 in the final countdown stages, only 7 days remain until the gaming event of all gaming events gets underway, Capcom has lifted the veil on the games they will have to display on the showroom floor. I believe this is where the chorus kicks in “and I jizz in my pants!”
J.K. Rowling and the Mountain of Endless Money…that pretty much sums up the Harry Potter universe. The seventh book was bulky at about 780 pages but like many other Potter fans I absorbed it in two weeks. The feature film will be split in two to cover a lot of important details. The game will follow suit, according to EA.
Well, not really, but yesterday it was announced that the U.S. Supreme Court will hear California’s appeal in regards to the law implementing further restrictions on the sale of Mature rated games to minors. Personally I will say that the ESRB isn’t a perfect system, but that ultimately the burden should fall on the parent.
