Finally fully recovered from the head spin that is E3 and it’s time to take the podcast back to long form. We give NPD monthly figures, talk more unfortunate lay off news and some interesting Wii U details in this week’s news. We divulge what we’ve been playing the last three weeks and wrap things up by discussing the most embarrassing moments in video game history. Welcome to episode 72 of the number 1 podcast of all-time as voted by this staff and our parents.
With all the E3 press conferences done and over with and the last day of E3 upon us *sad face* it’s time to start talking the obligatory winners and losers. So sit back relax and let’s heap praise on the winners while we scorn and heckle the losers.
I’d say this week’s podcast is going to be short and sweet considering we’re leaving out two segments, but it’s our Electronic Entertainment Expo Extravaganza (or like Kirby likes to call it E4) special! The news block sounds like a boring episode of Law and Order Litigious Settlement Unit, but the podcast is buoyed by all the glitz and nerd glamor taking over the city of Los Angeles this very week. We’ve got you covered from the confirmed to the rumors and of course our veteran wild speculation. We’ve done this shib 70 times already, but none are more fun than Christmas Eve, err pre-E3. See you on the other side!
Square-Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIII-2′s DLC run has come to an end with the release of “Lightning’s Story: Requiem of the Goddess” and “Snow’s Story: Perpetual Battlefield.”
In the last week we have seen an outbreak of delays. Well today the epidemic hit Obsidian Studio’s South Park: The Game. Originally “South Park” had an undefined 2012 release date, that has now changed to an undefined 2013 release date.
Addressing the company’s on-going stance of having some DLC on-disc to help “ensure for a smooth transition when the DLC is available, allowing players who choose not to purchase the content the ability to play against players that did” Capcom VP Christian Svensson posted the following letter on Capcom Unity.
The Tomb Raider franchise showed a promising reboot at E3 2011, since then we’ve seen the game evolve to something even non Tomb Raider fans were anticipating its release. Well the masses will have to wait just a bit longer. Tomb Raider has been delayed from a Fall 2012 window to Q1 2013 .
May day blues got you down? Well we have the podcast for you! This week we break down our monthly NPDs, shed a tear for the delay of a AAA game, and split your sides with LOL news. We walk with the dead in what we’re playing and discus the antiquated convention of boss battles. It’s Last Podcast episode 67, and no one can resist our hot, hot jam!
Welcome to the last Podcast Nintendo edition, or so it feels like. Plenty of surprises from the big N, but Adam sessler has a surprise of his own. The PS3 finally joins in on the XP bonus fun that Xbox 360 users have had for awhile now. This week Kirby plays something new… to him anyways while Wolf goes totally retro. We wrap this up discussing our worst purchasing decisions of all time. It’s a-me the last podcast. The princess maybe in another castle, but the party is right here in episode 65.
