Sky Crawlers Gets Confirmed Release Date

XSEED Games announced today that flight combat shooter Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces will be shipped in North America on January 10. It will be exclusive to the Wii and retail at the economical price of $29.99.

Developed by Project Aces of the Ace Combat series, Sky Crawlers is set in a reality where corporations go to war for entertainment. The story is also based on a novel series by Hiroshi Mori and will be adapted into an animated film.

And instead of modern military jets, the planes in Sky Crawlers are 1940’s era, which means less emphasis on missiles and more focus on guns and close dogfighting. (YES!) The controls are unique as well. The Nunchuk is held in your right hand as the flight control stick and tilted to roll, pitch, and yaw. The Wii Remote, held in your left hand handles acceleration and deceleration.
