Back when arcades were still a thing, I loved playing side-scrolling beat ‘em ups. Whether they be Final Fight, X-Men, TMNT, the Simpsons…button mashing the snot out of nameless drones was a fun diversion. Two of Sega’s side-scrolling gems: Streets of Rage and Golden Axe will be coming to XBLA.
The download will be compilations, so it will likely include all three games of both Streets of Rage and Golden Axe. It should go without saying that they will include Achievements and leaderboards.
There is no word yet on a release date or pricing. I wish I could clone myself into three people: one to handle work and personal relationships, one to play modern games, and one to play retro games. It’s 2012 and the future needs to happen already.
